Software Development Engineer, Product UI/SPF/TE

Basic qualifications

1. 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2. 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred qualifications

1. 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. 1. 5+ years of professional full-stack development
2. Ability to rapidly prototype and adjust in response to customer feedback
3. Experience building front-end features that have been successfully delivered to customers for mobile applications
4. Proficient in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns. Knows when (and when not) to use front-end software design patterns.
5. Can articulate the risks and benefits of depending on front-end libraries, frameworks, and toolsets.
6. Able to dive into the source code of front end libraries to debug, patch, and extend them when necessary.
7. Proficient in view layout and rendering technologies (e.g., responsiveness, progressive enhancement, browser/device support).
8. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
9. Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
10. Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
