As a Software QA Engineer, You Will Be

• Accountable for deliverables and effectiveness of quality assurance processes in your scrum team – including functional and non-functional testing, as well as QA team responsibilities.
• Responsible for root cause analysis of problems identified by end users and internal teams.
• Adept at API testing using tools like Postman, as we are an API-first testing team.
• Liaising with the application support team to resolve production issues for end-users.
• Championing high-quality software products by influencing processes and practices throughout the development lifecycle.

This Is The Right Role If You

• Have a university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Have 6+ years of full-time industry experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Are an avid GitHub user: Please include your GitHub link in your resume!
• Have deep experience in API testing and understanding of APIs.
• Have experience in building test automation frameworks.
• Have troubleshooting skills for user-reported issues using browser dev tools and database queries (SQL and NoSQL).
• Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and can provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA team members.

Nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of application monitoring tools like Datadog.
• Experience with performance testing tools like K6.
• Experience with security testing tools like Burp Suite.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and basic understanding of cloud-related discussions.

NOTE: This is a hybrid role based in our Mississauga, Ontario office.
