In this role, you will work with a highly collaborative team of imaging scientists, product managers, and software developers to build imaging and data analysis algorithms and solutions in Digital Pathology. You will be a technical expert in Software Development in Test, working alongside team members focused on software verification of image processing algorithms, pattern recognition, and integration with platform software.

The Opportunity

• Develop automated testing suite & framework for Roche Digital Pathology algorithms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leads to align on work scope & release timelines.
• Work closely with imaging scientists and subject matter experts to understand algorithms, perform data analysis, troubleshoot failures, and report issues.
• Develop reusable and scalable data analysis tools libraries for component and end-to-end verification.
• Participate in requirements, architecture, and design review sessions.
• Assist in executing dry runs and formal verification testing.
• Follow defined software development lifecycle procedures and best practices.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Python or equivalent scripting language.
• 5+ years of experience in software development in test, test automation frameworks, CI/CD tools, cloud, and container management technologies.
• Experienced in Agile software development processes and engineering best practices.
• Experience in recruiting, building, and coaching high-performing engineering teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

• 2+ years of experience in algorithm test engineering and analyzing histopathology images.
• Experience in performance testing.
• Experience in medical device software or regulated software verification.
