Description

The mission of the Design System team is to create a reusable, composable, and accessible design system that supports an outstanding user experience. As a Software Engineer, you will bring strong programming skills and teamwork to develop Verily's design system components, helping our application teams build front-end experiences for Verily's users.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, Product Management, UXD, and A11y teams to design, develop, and deliver new application components.
• Propose ideas for technical design problems, compare options, and suggest solutions.
• Develop using industry-standard tools including GitHub, React, TypeScript, Storybook, and Cypress.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer in an industry setting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong fundamentals in React.
• Clear written communication skills, especially in design and architecture documents.
• Ability to facilitate productive discussions across teams including UXD and A11y.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WCAG A11y standards.
• Testing experience (BDD, Integration).
• Experience with MUI library.
• Familiarity with Agile methods (Jira).
