Who you report to: Senior Manager, Software Development

What the job is all about:

  1. Work with R&D developers to design, write, edit, and test software coding as per the specifications or guidelines.
  2. Become an expert in Ross Video products. This expertise will be gained through a review of the current documentation, direct contact with the product itself and working with the technical personnel.
  3. Act as an occasional trainer for existing and potential customers on an as required basis.
  4. Respond to internal issues regarding software as assigned.
  5. Perform other related duties as required.

Who you are:

  1. Java coding skills
  2. Experience working with React and Typescript
  3. Familiar with Git
  4. Knowledge of object-oriented principles and design patterns
  5. Knowledge of cloud technology (AWS in particular) would be an asset
  6. Above average Linux knowledge
  7. Post-secondary degree in Engineering or Computer Science or in a related area with appropriate experience.
  8. Strong interpersonal and observational skills.
  9. Organized and very detail oriented.
  10. Self-starter, quick learner and able to work with minimum supervision in meeting schedules and project deadlines.
  11. Able to work independently or as part of a team.
