Moneris is seeking a Software Developer for its Toronto office, working in a hybrid model. The role entails the development, implementation, and support of applications while collaborating with other developers and business analysts. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and have experience in Java, Cloud development, and agile environments.

The Software Developer is responsible for the development, implementation and support of software systems. You will work with developers and business analysts to create quality applications for our streaming platform.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Software Development and Architecture.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Develop, implement and support applications written in Java
Creation, maintenance and support of secure, high quality, and code components
Collaborate with developers, system support specialists and other team members to integrate components and implement/support a functional continuous integration solution
Manage and support of applications using version control software
Conduct unit, integration, regression and performance test
Ongoing research into new technologies
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering or equivalent experience
1+ years of experience in software development in Java 1.8 and above
Working knowledge of relational database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server and DB2
Experience with Cloud development preferably in Azure
Experience building REST APIs using Springboot, JPA, Maven, Mockito and Junit
Experience in Gitlab or GitHub
Basic shell and administration capabilities in Linux
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and worked in an Agile environment
