Job summary

Pason is offering a 16‑month software developer internship in Calgary, Alberta, starting May 2027 and running through August 2028. Candidates should be enrolled in a 3rd year program in Software Engineering, CS, or CE, and be comfortable with Java, C#, TypeScript, Python, SQL, web development,

Qualifications

• Familiar with Java, C#, Typescript, Python, SQL, and web development.
• Ability to use AI tools to support coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and learning new technologies.
• Familiar with Linux systems (Linux virtual machines a plus).
• Well-developed communication skills; strong commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test software features using Java, C#, TypeScript, Python, and AI tools.
• Investigate and resolve defects as part of release development and production systems.
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, and UX teams to deliver features with strong user experience.
• Participate in all software development processes including requirements, designs, estimation, code reviews, and testing.
• Write software using agile methodologies and develop unit tests.
