Job description

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of software development experience, preferably in a DevOps environment
• Education: Software Engineering, Computer Science degree, or equivalent
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies
• Ability to share, mentor, give, and receive code review feedback openly, honestly, and fairly
• Agile mindset, excited about problem solving and results-focused
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Technical Skills

Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following tools and technologies is required.

• Static programming languages (Java, C#, C++)
• Scripting languages (PowerShell)
• Linux and Windows (experience as Sys Admin is a plus)
• Microservices architecture, containers (Docker, Docker Swarm)

Working knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus.

• DevOps and Configuration management tools (Git, TFS)
• Networking (certificates, DNS, Active Directory)
• Build tools and systems (Jenkins)
• DevSecOps and security practices
• Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or other providers)
• Immutable infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code

Candidates must be eligible for a top-secret security clearance, requiring ten years of verifiable history within Canada.

How We Work

You will be expected to work in a remote/hybrid environment, reporting to our Kanata, Ontario location two or more times per week.
