Software Developer - Full Stack (Senior)

Client : Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement (Government Services Integration Cluster)

Location : 222 Jarvis Street Toronto ON

Work Type : Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Start Date : June 16, 2025

End Date : March 31, 2026

Extension : Possible 1-time extension

Key Responsibilities :

1. Design and implement full-stack software applications based on system specifications.
2. Develop and maintain scalable and secure web services and APIs.
3. Build and manage data pipelines (ETL) for analytics and AI / ML use cases.
4. Participate in architectural and solution design for complex applications.
5. Lead by example in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban), mentoring junior developers.
6. Ensure secure, optimized, and maintainable code across the stack.

Must-Have Skills :

1. Frontend : Strong experience with functional components, hooks, Context API, SSR, routing, TypeScript, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 / SCSS, UI patterns, responsive design, CSS-in-JS.
2. Backend : Strong Python (modern versions), REST API development with FastAPI, Java Spring Boot, .NET Core C# Web API.
3. DevOps & Cloud : Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Key Vault, YAML configuration.
4. AI / ML : Model training with TensorFlow, PyTorch, experience with OpenCV, data preparation, evaluation metrics.
5. Architecture : Familiarity with serverless architecture, microservices, RESTful APIs, system design, performance optimization, scalable components.
6. Soft Skills : Leadership, problem-solving, communication, collaboration with product teams, mentoring.
