As the fastest growing retail business at Amazon, our team of scientists and engineers have been working hard to find innovative ways to get Everyday Essentials products into the hands of our customers.

We are seeking an experienced engineer who combines superb technical, research, and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. Experience developing cloud services and developer tools is critical. You will work with top-notch developers and collaborate with research teams. We’re looking for someone who loves solving hard problems and innovating for the customer.

At EE-Tech, we focus on making shopping for low-cost Everyday Essentials delightful for customers while driving sustainable growth for Amazon. Our work includes scientific experiments to reach more customers sustainably, enabling regional shopping experiences, and building compelling browse experiences to enhance customer journeys.

Key job responsibilities

• Work across technologies including ML (LLM / Computer Vision), build SaaS in AWS, and analyze big data.
• Learn and grow within a talented team.
• Stand up new services from scratch using industry-leading AWS products.
• Solve problems requiring novel solutions in low-latency systems.
• Address scale challenges across millions of customers worldwide.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code.
• Perform peer code reviews and contribute to technical designs.
• Collaborate with machine learning experts on recommendation models.
• Innovate to engage customers across various mediums.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture.
• Experience programming in at least one software language.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

The salary range is $114,800 to $191,800 per year, based on experience and skills. Additional compensation such as equity or sign-on bonuses may be offered.
