The EE-Tech team is seeking an experienced engineer who combines superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. Experience developing cloud services and developer tools is critical. A successful candidate will be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and collaborating with our research teams. We’re looking for someone who innovates, and loves solving hard problems! You will work hard, have fun, and of course, make history!

At EE-Tech, we are focused on make shopping low-cost Everyday Essentials selection delightful for customers while driving economically sustainable growth for Amazon. We do this by, (1) devising, running, interpreting, and implementing results of scientific experiments that help us reach more customers in more economically sustainable ways, (2) enabling regional shopping experiences for our customers and regional optimizations for Amazon teams via tools and programs that we develop / manage (3) building compelling browse experiences and augmenting, optimizing, and orchestrating existing customer experiences that are useful to customers in their shopping journeys.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work across a wide breadth of technologies and services including ML (LLM / Computer Vision), build SaaS in AWS, and analyze big data
  • Learn and grow from a talented group of individuals within our team and within our sister teams
  • Immerse yourself in the process of standing up new services from scratch, through powerful industry leading AWS products
  • Solve problems which require novel solutions in low-latency systems
  • Solve problems that center around scale, across the world, over hundreds of millions of customers
  • Write high quality, maintainable code
  • Perform peer code-reviews and contribute to technical designs
  • Integrate and collaborate with applied science experts specialized in machine learning recommendation models
  • Think outside the box when it comes to innovating for the customer. Our team is looking for fresh ideas to engage with customers across both internal and external mediums

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
