Job summary

Xona is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and integrate a desktop application interfacing with in-house satellite receivers. You will write application code for satellite subsystem components and collaborate in a fast-paced startup environment to deliver mission-critical insights.

Ideal candidates have experience with C and Python, embedded development, RTOS, and hardware communication protocols, with a background in control systems or motor control and a proven leadership track record.

Qualifications

• Experience with C and Python coding languages and build systems.
• Embedded development for microcontroller programming.
• Experience with RTOS and hardware communication protocols (RS-485, UART, I2C, CAN, SPI, Ethernet TCP/IP).
• Background in Control systems and/or motor control.
• Experience as a team lead/manager.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with C and Python coding languages and build systems
• Experience with hardware communication system protocols such as RS-485, UART, I2C, CAN, SPI, and ethernet TCP/IP
• Experience with dev kits and firmware flashing
• Software architecting for software-hardware interfaces (wire format), build system design, component and subsystem communication design, and software modularization
• Embedded development for microcontroller programming
