Job description

We are currently seeking a Software Developer, Defensive Security to join our engineering team.

This role is available to candidates across Canada, excluding Quebec. If you are local to one of our hubs (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto), you will be expected to be in the office twice per week on days of your choice. If you are not local, you may work remotely across Canada, with the option to visit our offices.

What your team does :

Our mission is to transform the legal experience for all. Our engineering team aims to deliver an exceptional experience to our customers by building products that are performant, reliable, scalable, and beautiful.

You will be part of a 20-person Security portfolio within Application Security, alongside 4 other engineers, within a community of over 400 engineers.

Currently, on-call duties are voluntary and adequately covered, but this may change if needed.

What you'll do :

  • Bring strong .NET development experience to the Application Security team
  • Support vulnerability remediation and improve core codebases
  • Develop tools to educate, reduce toil, and prevent security flaws
  • Advise development teams on security best practices
  • Promote security awareness within the organization
  • Implement automated application scanning and static analysis tools
  • Respond to security incidents
  • Contribute to fostering a security-conscious culture

What you may have :

  • A passion for learning and creating security solutions in a fast-growing CI environment
  • Experience in secure software development, architecture review, web security, cloud security, or threat modeling
  • Experience with modern .NET technologies
