A fast-paced immigration firm in Toronto is seeking a Software Developer to assist with customizations and upgrades of their practice management application. The ideal candidate should have a relevant IT degree, two years of experience, and knowledge in SQL, C#, and .NET. This role offers autonomy and diverse work in a collaborative environment.

  • Assist with the onboarding of new employees including technical training.

Green and Spiegel LLP is seeking a Software Developer and IT Supportable to hit the ground running and assist with the on-going customizations of our practice management application deployed across our environment. This individual will be expected to participate in upgrades and support on-going customizations and troubleshooting. This candidate will lead the development of on-going technology projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. The candidate must have a high level of organization skills, strong customer support skills and an ability to prioritize work. The candidate must be able to work independently and in a team environment in order to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the upgrades and ongoing customizations to applications being deployed across the Firm
  • Liaise with support personnel to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Responsible for data security initiatives including data security awareness training
  • Provide development support on on-going IT projects
  • Assist with the on-boarding of new employees including technical training
  • Develop reporting in the practice management application and SSRS / Power BI
  • Develop queries and stored procedures using the MS-SQL Server Management Studio

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or College certificate in relevant IT program
  • Net, Java or other OO based development tools
  • Two years experience in a similar role is required, preferably in a professional services environment
  • Knowledge of data security best practices
  • SQL knowledge is required
  • HTML, C# knowledge is an asset
  • Attention to detail, ability to handle a wide variety of duties in a professional manner
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated, organized and dependable with excellent time management and interpersonal and customer service skills
