Overview

Eckler’s technology team is a 27-person software development team that builds leading-edge solutions for both our clients and Eckler’s other practices. We are looking for a full-stack Software Developer to join our team of creative problem-solvers. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, dedicated, and passionate about technology. You will join a team of developers, software architects, project managers, designers, QA, and subject matter experts in a supportive environment that encourages continuous learning.

Eckler’s technology team is based in Toronto, with project teams located across Canada. Candidates should expect to work in one of our Canadian offices at least 40% of the time.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Build high quality code that meets business, security, and performance requirements
• Support, update, and troubleshoot a variety of existing applications
• Work with product owners and technical leads to design robust solutions
• Collaborate with team members to ensure requirements and deadlines are met
• Participate in stand-ups and other Agile ceremonies
• Maintain Jira tickets with comments and status updates
• Follow QA processes and document work as required
• Develop and support multiple projects as required, managing your own time appropriately and communicating progress and / or concerns to senior team members

What you offer

• Post-secondary education in computer science, mathematics, or related field
• Experience working within a software development environment
• Experience with the Microsoft stack (C#.Net, SQL, Visual Studio, Azure)
• Experience with front-end technologies (Angular preferred)
• Knowledge of middle layer technologies including API and JWT
• Experience with version control software (e.g., Git)
• Knowledge of bug tracking software (e.g., Jira)
• Solid understanding of modern web standards and frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Willingness to quickly investigate and learn new technologies
