Reporting to the Manager of Systems, the Product & Systems Specialist is responsible for working within the Systems team and assisting in configuration and setup of all Applied Epic Ecosystem features, craft data driven reports and dashboards out of the BMS (Broker Management System - Applied Epic), and general InsureLine Network support tasks as assigned such as workload reassignments, EDI Download , Templates, custom forms and onboarding new franchises & users.
The Product Specialist will work as a subject matter expert and project coordinator on forward thinking projects for the InsureLine Network related to the Applied Epic Ecosystem and related integrated vendor solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and insurance background, be detail oriented, adept at troubleshooting, and leveraging technology to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Specific duties include :
- Perform configuration tasks in the Applied Epic BMS and related modules or integrated software as requested.
- Conduct detailed analysis and troubleshooting of the Applied Epic BMS and related software or modules behavior's and problems, enlisting the vendor support if required to find the right resolution for the user.
- Understand the general workflows and processes within the Epic BMS ecosystem as well as all related modules or integrated software.
- Create, assist and educate users on the reporting module, Epic Dashboards and basic functions in Excel as requested by the network users.
- Create, configure and troubleshoot various templates, standard forms and custom forms within the Epic BMS system as requested.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software projects, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Work with the System Manager and Systems Team on Epic BMS related new features or integration rollout projects.
- Champion continuous improvement by regularly evaluating the Epic BMS new features and release updates to identify inefficiencies and proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications :
- 5+ years in the P&C insurance industry and equal experience working inside a broker management system.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Applied Epic BMS support, configuration or administration, or a similar role, with a solid foundation in processing and troubleshooting errors or transaction outages within Applied Epic.
- Proficient in setup, deployment, and maintenance of user accounts, and related settings in the Applied Epic BMS.
- Direct configuration and troubleshooting experience in the following areas of Applied Epic would be an asset :
- Onboarding / Offboarding Epic Users (Users and Security)
- Reporting Module
- Dashboards (Sales and Persona)
- WebRater
- Templates (Letters, Client Invoices, Client Statements, Client Receipts, Financial Statements, certificates & Proofs of Insurance)
- Workload Reassignments
- EDI - Interface Download
- Applied Rating Services
- Applied Analytics
- New Policy Forms Builder
- Custom & Supplemental Forms
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, with a track record of optimizing insurance processes and systems for better efficiency and performance.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Be willing to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally for work and training purposes.
- Other IT knowledge or experience would be a desired asset but not a requirement of this role.
