Job summary

PepsiCo Mississauga Canada invites an experienced factory manager to lead the Mississauga site, directing day-to-day operations, production planning, safety, and quality programs to meet strategic goals.

You will develop strong leadership within the production teams, partner across functions, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with global guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, or plant management within a complex, matrixed, or international environment.
• Proven experience leading site operations, including production, maintenance, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong people leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build engaged teams and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
• Experience implementing new technologies, automation, capital projects, or operational transformation initiatives.
• Ability to manage end-to-end plant operations, balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day operational needs.
• Experience working cross-functionally with supply chain, engineering, finance, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Food, beverage, consumer goods, or similarly regulated manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

The main activity of the Mississauga Canada factory is refilling and distributing CO2 cylinders for the Canadian market.

Departments main activity

The main activity of the operation department is strategic production and delivery of goods to the Canadian market and clients, while maintaining high volumes, maximum capacity, and efficiency. The production department is built around refilling and distributing CO2 cylinders, from new cylinders to refills.

Packaging of goods to be shipped across Canada per customer requests.

The Factory Mississauga Canada Manager reports directly to Sr Director Global Manufacturing SC OPS. He is responsible for all employees in his department and external parties that work under his supervision.

Responsibilities

The position of Factory Mississauga Canada Manager is mainly aimed at managing the factory needs from day-to-day operations to delivery and more. As Factory Mississauga Canada Manager, you will lead the factory together with your team to great success. The focus of the Factory Mississauga Canada Manager is organizing operational activities and personnel, creating and carrying out all operational needs on the production floor, and maximizing capacity with high efficiency while supporting growth with focus on all factory needs.

1. Provide leadership in the Mississauga Canada factory to ensure a highly motivated, well-trained and self-managed leadership team.
2. Mentor, coach and develop the management team in Mississauga Canada.

1. Accountable for safety, Quality, Health, Environmental policies. ensuring that management team lead the sites according to SodaStream Global guidelines.
2. Contribute to strategy formation and translate it into plans and (yearly) objectives.
3. Set clear direction for the Mississauga Canada operation site by ensuring the delivery of the CO2 business according to plans, KPIs, values and people processes.
4. Overseeing the day-to-day operation, ensuring optimum efficiency in operational management – by providing and following management routines

Safety

• Is responsible for creating a safe working space for all employees, in accordance with company policy and regulations.
• Be familiar with regulatory requirements for safe work and equipment operation.
• Provide safety briefings to external contractors.
• Oversees execution of any safety related measures. Reports issues to the Safety department and/or management.
• Recognizes and anticipates on safety risks and takes appropriate action where needed in a timely manner.

Employee management

• Accountable for managing the production HC.
• Directly responsible for managing the Mississauga Canada factory.
• Build strong leadership with the current production managers to support the growth and to create bast team attitude.
• Is the first contact person for subordinate employees regarding HR-related topics. When needed, support is offered by the HR Canada manager and/or Sr Director Global Manufacturing SC OPS.
• Is responsible for correct handling of HR processes for subordinate employees. This includes HR processes regarding absenteeism, vacation, performance management, training and development, recruitment, etc. When needed, support is offered by the HR Canada manager and/or Sr Director Global Manufacturing SC OPS.
• Is responsible that subordinate employees are instructed and trained where needed. Ensures correct corresponding documentation.
• Will provide the required budget for this.

Operation

• Accountable for the performance of the production departments, KPI, meeting goals, financial costs, and product quality.
• Accountable for receiving new equipment and bringing it into production while maximally managing the capabilities of the machines, training the workers, and finding solutions together with the maintenance team to manage the maintenance routines Creates analytical reports relevant to maintenance.
• Maintains a clear communication with management, Engineering HQ, Process responsible HQ person.
• Making sure the (production) equipment is safe to operate.
• Responsible for technical availability KPIs of all production resources.

Planning

• Organizes business needs based on priority.
• Creating work plan based on strategical plans and SC directions.
• Works with available systems to create this and is responsible for upholding this.
• Responsible for building strategic plans for the benefit of managing the department's production capabilities.
• Communicates with department leaders planning for maintenance and sets up frequent meetings.
• Responsible to set directions for the maintenance of the machines at a high level and with an organized plan for the benefit of preventive maintenance and management of the availability of the machines

Quality

• Responsible for the quality of the products that come out of the disease in the best quality both in terms of product quality and in terms of customer safety.
• Oversees execution of any quality related measures, developed by the quality department. Lead the learning with dep managers to find RC.
• Monitors qualitative parameters in accordance with quality instructions. The implementation of the requirements generally aims to achieve an economic optimal level of quality of our products. The creation or modification of instructions is done by the quality department and/or management.
• Executes random checks and documents this for quality purposes.
• Accountable of develops or updates procedures and work instructions to cover the common business processes.
• Independently implements process changes in collaboration with the responsible stakeholders (both internal and external).
• Ensures that all responsible departments and all necessary stakeholders are informed.

KPI @ Budget

• Keeps record on all relevant KPI’s as agreed with:
  • Local Management
  • Global Management
• Will provide all relevant information in frequent management meetings.
• Is responsible for the budget of the Mississauga Canada factory, working closely with the Finance department.

Other

• Strong leadership skills that come with high motivation
• Has regular contact with leaders of other departments for relevant topics that are crossing departmental borders.
• Is willing to travel to other countries as required.
• Is contact for authorities after normal working hours on the production Plant.
• Ensure cleanliness and order in the entire warehouse/production area.
• Is willing to do all tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor/manager to contribute to the success of SodaStream.
• Follows all safety and quality instructions and contributes to develop and improve the safety and quality standards in SodaStream.
