~ Per Diem / As Needed Position ~

Position Summary

The Social Worker works as part of the interdisciplinary team to provide individuals, families, and caregivers with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. Services include advising patients and family caregivers of community resources and supports, and guiding individuals through the process as needed. The social worker will provide education where appropriate, empowering patients to participate in decision-making regarding their treatment options and access to services tailored to their health needs. The Social Worker may also provide care coordination, case management, or interventions aimed at promoting health, preventing disease, and addressing barriers to healthcare access. The ideal candidate has experience and training working with eating disorders.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work required.
  2. License/Certifications: Current Maine licensure as a LSW required.
