Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work and registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker to support older adults and their caregivers dealing with dementia. This role involves working within an interdisciplinary team at the Older Adult and Dementia Caregiver Resilience Clinic.

  • Salary Range: CAD $42.27/Hr - CAD $52.81/Hr
  • Location: Providence Health Care
Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced clinical services including assessments, therapy, and caregiver education
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and maintain accurate records
  • Deliver therapeutic counseling and support discharge planning
  • Support interdisciplinary team activities and community engagement
  • Develop educational programs and participate in committees
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work and registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers
  • Post-master’s training in evidence-based modalities like Mindfulness-Based Therapy or CBT
  • Minimum two years’ experience with dementia care and caregiver support
