Job description

The Wood Buffalo Addiction and Mental Health Services Team in Fort McMurray is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join their Walk-in Service. Reporting to the Manager and supported by a Clinical Supervisor, this role requires an energetic and dynamic individual committed to providing patient and family-centered care within a community setting. The successful candidate will utilize excellent communication skills to deliver psychosocial interventions through various modalities (individual, family, group) to individuals facing significant mental health and addiction challenges.

In addition to a competitive salary, Alberta Health Services offers a Fort McMurray Allowance up to $12,480 annually, payable on an hourly basis for all hours worked at the basic rate. Description :

As a Social Worker II, you will be part of an inter-disciplinary team providing a range of social work services, including psychosocial assessments, resource-based interventions, individual, group, and family treatment, risk screening, counseling, case management, discharge planning, and public awareness activities.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work

- Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW)
