Your Opportunity:
Bring hope and healing to individuals in need by joining our Tawâw Supportive Housing team in Fort McMurray. In this rewarding role, you'll provide community-based services to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, helping them navigate their mental health journey toward independence and lasting recovery. Tawâw, meaning "come in, you're welcome, there is room for you here" in Cree, is a supportive housing facility that has been operating for about a year. Housed in a renovated hotel, the centre offers 29 units (expandable to 48 beds) and serves Indigenous and chronically homeless individuals with complex medical and social needs. Rooted in Indigenous teachings, Tawâw emphasizes recovery, cultural connection, and holistic care. With the support of our close-knit, interdisciplinary team and experienced Clinical Educators, you'll deliver compassionate, culturally informed care to empower individuals on their path to stability and independence. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
