The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager of Children’s Intensive Service (CIS) and under the direction of the Team Leader, the Masters-prepared Social Worker is part of an interdisciplinary team providing clinical intervention to children ages 6-12 with severe disruptive behavior. The role involves working with children and families using a multi-systemic framework based on attachment principles, providing direct, consultative, or supervisory follow-up care. The Social Worker will participate in all care continuum aspects, including assessment, therapy, case discussion, and program support, while adhering to professional standards and client-centered care principles. Teaching and supervision of students and support workers are also expected. Clinical services are provided in homes or community locations, requiring travel, with some inpatient care as needed.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour days, with some evenings and travel within and outside HRM required.
