Job Description

Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, the Social Worker performs professional social work of moderate complexity. Responsibilities include assisting patients and their families with practical problems and personal concerns, and consulting with hospital staff and community agencies regarding the psychosocial aspects of patients' situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work degree (B.S.W.) from an accredited school; a Master's degree (M.S.W.) is preferred.
• Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
• Related social work experience, preferably in a medical setting, demonstrating clinical competence.
