  • Bachelor of Social Work,
  • Experience supporting adults who have experience abuse, neglect, or self-neglect is an asset,
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults in an interdisciplinary team,
  • Experience supporting clients with complex issues including substance use, mental health issues and cognitive impairments,
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and supporting client safety plans is an asset.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret legislation
  • Vulnerable Sector RCMP Security clearance,
  • TB Screening,
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence,
  • WHMIS 2015 (within 1-month of hire), and
  • Verification of post-secondary degrees / diploma / certificates.

Job requirements

This job requires you to perform, and / or be exposed to, the following :

  • Travel to rural communities within Yukon approximately four to six times per year for two to four days per trip,
  • Required to enter clients’ living environments and may be exposed to unsanitary conditions, pests, pets and second-hand smoke,
  • Exposure to clients with high levels of complex needs, substance use, and trauma.
