As a Social Worker, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary care team, advocating for residents and assessing their psychosocial needs to enhance their well-being.

About The Role

  • This is a part-time position, 30 hours per week.
  • Your role involves addressing residents' psychosocial needs, fostering well-being, and creating a supportive environment.
  • Responsibilities include team and program leadership, health and safety oversight, modeling the Wellness Model of Care, leading resident care conferences, facilitating end-of-service planning, providing crisis intervention, and supporting residents, families, and team members.
  • Involved in program leadership activities such as adjustment counseling, assessing eligibility for assistance, collaborating on care plans, leading support groups, advocating for legislative programs, and policy revision.
  • Build relationships with residents, team members, and external agencies.
  • Manage bed matching, quality improvement initiatives, and maintain a private pay waitlist.
  • Ensure health and safety by identifying and rectifying unsafe situations and promoting secure work practices.

Our community is located on Taylor Way and Inglewood Avenue, near parks such as Ambleside Park, Capilano Park, and Capilano River Regional Park.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work; Master’s preferred.
  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW).
  • At least one year of experience serving seniors, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

We offer a competitive hourly rate between $42.27 and $52.81.
