Registered Social Worker - Lifemark Health Group

Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick

Responsibilities :

  1. Provide clients, primarily military veterans, with goal-focused psychotherapy to address mental health and psychosocial problems that are barriers to better health and family/community engagement.
  2. Provide veteran clients with social work assessments and interventions in the client’s social milieu to improve social and community functioning.
  3. Utilize a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach to intervention based on an overall client-centered philosophy.
  4. Provide group psychoeducational services.
  5. Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients’ treatment plans, goals, progress, and barriers to functional goals.
  6. Deliver quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Key Qualifications :

  1. Masters Degree in Social Work
  2. Registration with a provincial College of Social Workers as an autonomous practitioner in good standing
  3. 2 years of experience (preferred) in case conceptualization and psychotherapy/social work intervention for a range of mental health symptoms and psycho-social barriers with adult clients.
  4. Experience providing social work services to military, first responders, and veterans is an asset.
  5. Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team.
  6. Experience writing clear and concise assessment, progress, and discharge reports.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills, autonomy, and integrity.
