The salary range for this position is CAD $45.66 / Hr. - CAD $57.04 / Hr.

Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager and receiving practice leadership and support from the Professional Practice Leader (PPL), Social Work, the Social Worker 4 provides leadership to staff in Social Work professional standards and practice. The role involves participating in planning and coordination of Social Work / Psycho-social and Peer services, providing clinical guidance, mentoring, coaching, and facilitating workplace solutions. The position supervises at least one (1) FTE Social Worker at the P1 and / or P2A and / or S1 level and up to eight (8) FTE staff. Responsibilities include managing patient / client flow, performing assessments, establishing community partnerships, and promoting research and quality initiatives.

Education, Training and Experience

Master’s degree in Social Work, four (4) years’ recent health care experience with complex mental health and substance use, and current registration with the BC College of Social Workers.

Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of mental health, substance use, trauma-informed practice, and evidence-based care.
  • Ability to conduct assessments, provide treatment, and coordinate care.
  • Leadership skills, including supervision, mentorship, and team collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop education programs, manage caseloads, and participate in research and quality improvement activities.

The role also involves developing practice standards, supporting staff education, conducting assessments, providing clinical interventions, fostering community partnerships, and participating in policy and program development. The position is classified as Mid-Senior level, full-time, within the Hospitals and Health Care industry.
