Responsibilities

Tasks

1. Prepare reports or case histories
2. Administrative and office activities
3. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services
4. Develop specialized rehabilitation programs
5. Perform administrative tasks
6. Implement life skills workshops
7. Refer offenders to community and social services programs
8. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
9. Conduct follow-up assessments
10. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community
11. Provide suicide and crisis intervention
12. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
13. Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety
14. Implement substance abuse treatment programs
15. Implement behaviour management programs
16. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions
17. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
18. Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures
19. Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
20. Assist clients/guests with special needs
