Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification in Psychology, Sociology or a Human Services field.
• Five years (FTE) of related occupational experience in Human Services with anti-oppressive practices.
• Experience in addictions support and mental health is an asset.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and email.
• Experience liaising with business and industry.
• Comfortable in a digital environment and using technology for online/blended learning.
• Experience delivering education to adults is an asset.
• Experience providing performance feedback is an asset.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety practices.
• Willing to participate in training for online/blended delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide theoretical and practical instruction in the Social Services program.
• Collaboratively design and deliver educational experiences using LMS (Brightspace) and classroom tech.
• Ensure health and safety practices in classroom, shops, and labs.
• Maintain currency with industry practices and adapt to online/blended delivery, including evenings or weekends.
• Engage in academic/career advisement, committees, marketing, and work placements; liaise with business and industry.
