Job summary

A community college is seeking a part-time instructor to teach courses in the Social Service Worker program. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Social Work, five years of clinical experience, and strong interpersonal skills. Recent teaching experience and online instruction familiarity are considered assets. This role contributes to the college's mission while supporting diverse learner needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of clinical experience with individuals and groups.
  • At least two years' experience post-graduate degree.
  • Recent teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
  • Experience with online instruction is a plus.

Job description

The College of New Caledonia requires a part-time instructor to teach courses in the Social Service Worker program.

Skills & Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work or an equivalent applied Master’s degree;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in working with individuals and groups, with at least two (2) years’ experience after the completion of the graduate degree;
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • A sensitive approach to a variety of adult student needs, and to international and Aboriginal learners;
  • Recent teaching experience at the post-secondary level would be considered an asset;
  • Experience with online instruction an asset;
  • A current criminal records check;
  • Current good standing membership with a regulatory body such as the BCCSW.

Salary and Location

Salary $92.22 - $102.20 Commensurates with qualifications and relevant experience. Location: Prince George, BC, Canada.
