Your Team

Join the Communications team at Flair, where bold ideas and authentic storytelling define our brand voice. The Social Media Specialist is responsible for leading Flair’s presence across social media platforms, creating engaging and original content that reflects our unapologetically human and relatable personality.

This role blends creativity with strategic thinking, owning social campaigns, building real-time connections with our community, and driving brand awareness through scroll-stopping content. The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller with a passion for travel, a deep understanding of social trends, and the agility to create on the fly (sometimes quite literally). Working closely with a fast-paced and collaborative team, the Social Media Specialist plays a key role in shaping how the world sees Flair.

A Day In The Life

  1. Own and execute Flair’s social strategy across platforms, building a voice and vibe people instantly recognize (and love).
  2. Plan, shoot, and edit original content that fits each platform — mixing real stories, trends, and bold ideas that make people feel something.
  3. Keep our calendar sharp and our content timely, jumping on trends that actually make sense for us.
  4. Monitor feeds, respond fast, and manage feedback with a voice that’s human, helpful, and on-brand.
  5. Engage in comments, DMs, and reviews to build community and keep the conversation going.
  6. Work closely with marketing and creative teams to align efforts and support the big picture.
  7. Track performance, share insights, and help us keep doing more of what works (and less of what doesn’t).

What You Bring To The Role

The preferred candidate should exemplify Flair's core values of respect, honesty, accountability, and efficiency while demonstrating success in previous roles. Additionally, we are seeking individuals who possess:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma certification in relevant fields (journalism, marketing, film, English, social sciences, etc.)
  2. Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or a related field.
    • Previous experience in customer engagement, community management, or brand marketing preferred.
    • Experience in videography, content creation, and editing is a major asset.
  3. Skills and Abilities:
    • Funny, weird (in the best way), and confident showing up authentically—especially on camera.
    • Sharp instincts for what works online: tone, timing, trends, and storytelling.
    • Skilled at shooting, editing, posting, and pivoting quickly, all while managing a content calendar like a pro.
    • You’re cool with travel and down to create on the go—airports, events, hangars… the works.
    • You know your way around SEO, SEM, and digital marketing best practices.
    • Able to take feedback with grace and turn a bad review into a great brand moment.
    • Bonus points for a love of travel, aviation, or community-led brands.
  4. Requirements:
    • Clear criminal record check and satisfactory references.
    • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.
