Social Media Manager and Marketing Assistant

This is an amazing opportunity! A new team brand, a new stadium and a new energy is coming to the Myshak Metro Ballpark. We aim to provide exceptional entertainment while fostering a strong connection with fans and the local community.

We are looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Manager and Marketing Assistant to join our team and help grow our digital presence while supporting overall marketing efforts.

Position Summary

As the Social Media Manager and Marketing Assistant , you will play a key role in enhancing the online and offline presence of the organization and the Myshak Metro Ballpark. This position involves managing all social media platforms, creating compelling content, and supporting broader marketing initiatives to promote the team, stadium events, and community outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management :

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for the team and Myshak Metro Ballpark.
• Manage daily content creation, posting, and engagement on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.
• Design and schedule posts that highlight team updates, game promotions, community events, and more.
• Respond promptly and professionally to comments, messages, and inquiries on all platforms.
• Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize engagement and grow the audience.

Content Creation :

• Capture high-quality photos and videos during games, events, and community activities.
• Produce engaging graphics, promotional materials, and video content using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Collaborate with the team photographer and videographer to create memorable campaigns.
• Be responsible for the consistency and quality control of all outgoing media.

Marketing Support :

• Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote ticket sales, sponsorships, and events.
• Support the creation of game-day programs, flyers, and other printed materials.
• Work closely with sponsors to ensure branding requirements are met in marketing materials.

Community Engagement :

• Partner with the community relations team to promote outreach initiatives and events.
• Act as a representative of the organization at community events, ensuring a strong and professional presence.

Qualifications :

• A diploma or degree in marketing, communications, sports management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and possibly video editing software.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• A passion for sports, particularly baseball, is highly desirable.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required during the season.
• Familiarity with social media analytics tools and email marketing platforms is an asset.
• Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and be able to assist with game-day setup, which may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.
