Working directly with our artists and their management and marketing teams, you will drive the social media strategy and execution for your artist clients. You will take the lead in curating, creating and executing consistent, meaningful and original content on all social media platforms, DSPs, artist websites, and other digital platforms and systems. This includes writing social media copy and formatting existing graphics and video creative into various formats for social posts, as well as creating, editing, and enhancing short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. You will conceive, manage and maintain the social media calendar and ensure that the target volume of activity and quality standards of excellence are met. Additionally, you will be responsible for community engagement on artist socials, including communicating with followers, responding to comments, monitoring for spam, and generally managing the social media accounts.

You are the company expert on all things social, and you will consistently stay up to date and report best practices and emerging trends, applying findings to ongoing campaigns and artist accounts. You will scrape and gather analytics from social media platforms, websites and marketing initiatives for reporting and strategic purposes.

You are experienced in using all social media and content-scheduling and enhancing platforms. You are skilled in operating cameras/phones/microphones/lighting and adept in the usage of photo and video editing software. You are a gifted creative writer, easily able to adapt to the different voices and brands of the artists you’re working with.

Also you have great taste and good judgment. Plus, you love music and artists.

The job description includes but is not limited to the following areas of responsibility:

Job description

  • Execute and plan creative social media content and strategy across platforms that are consistent with the artists’ identity and brand. This includes suggesting creative concepts, creating (or coordinating the creation of) new content, writing social media copy, formatting existing graphics, and video creative into various formats. Creating, editing, and enhancing short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • Create, maintain, and execute a social media calendar, to be shared and approved by the team.
  • Consistently stay up to date and report best practices and emerging trends in social media; apply findings to artist accounts.
  • Execute community engagement on artist socials. This includes communicating with social media followers via direct messages, responding to comments/retweets in a timely manner.
  • Scrape and gather social media and website analytics for reporting purposes.
  • Attend artist management meetings to share socials strategy and learn what needs to be promoted on platforms.
  • Work with the marketing team and promoter to co-ordinate the needs of the label or tour promotion on social media.
  • Updating and maintaining artist websites.
  • Attend artists’ shows/events in order to gather and post content.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with top social media platforms
  • Tech-savvy
  • Video editing and graphic Design (AfterEffects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro or similar…)
  • Excellent creative copywriting skills
  • Resourceful team player, a self-starter and risk-taker
  • Passionate about music, social media and content creation
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize, while staying ahead of deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, willing to pitch in whenever needed
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Optimistic with positive energy and outlook

Nice to Haves & Attributes:

Job Specs

Reporting to:President of Six Shooter Inc.

Hours:Monday-Friday 10:00AM – 6:00PM

Location:Toronto-based exclusively. This is an in-office position 5 days/week.

Compensation and benefits:$60,000-$70,000 annual salary. Health and dental benefits. 3 weeks vacation, plus the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Half day Fridays in the summer.

Start Date: August 25, 2025
