Job description

Social Media & Content Specialist

Hybrid – Lower Mainland, BC | Full-time | 1 day per week work-from-home | On-camera content creation required

Our client is a lifestyle-focused brand seeking a creative and versatile Social Media & Content Specialist to lead their organic social strategy, content creation, and community engagement efforts. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in both the creative and analytical sides of social media—and is comfortable being in front of the camera.

You’ll help tell compelling stories, connect with a passionate audience, and bring engaging content to life across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and beyond.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the Social Calendar – Plan, schedule, and execute a monthly content calendar aligned with campaigns, promotions, and seasonal themes.
  • Create and Appear in Content – Develop visually engaging content (Reels, TikToks, carousels, etc.), including regular on-camera appearances.
  • Engage and Grow Community – Respond to comments and messages, build relationships with the online community, and participate in relevant conversations.
  • Support Campaigns & Partnerships – Collaborate with the broader marketing team to support giveaways, influencer content, and brand initiatives.
  • Track the Metrics That Matter – Report on KPIs like engagement, follower growth, and conversions, with recommendations for improvement.
  • Keep It Fresh – Stay up to date on platform changes and emerging trends to ensure the brand’s presence remains modern and relevant.

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience managing social media accounts for a brand
  • Strong short-form content skills: photography, video, and copywriting
  • Comfortable being on camera as a representative of the brand
  • Familiarity with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or similar tools
  • Bonus: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or exposure to lifestyle, automotive, or outdoor brands
  • Creative mindset, organized workflow, and passion for storytelling and community-building

The Details: This is a full-time role based in the Lower Mainland with a hybrid setup—1 day per week work-from-home. You’ll work closely with a collaborative and forward-thinking marketing team in a role that blends creativity, performance, and community engagement.

If you're passionate about content, community, and creating an authentic brand voice, we’d love to connect you with this exciting opportunity.
