Position Overview

When you say, “I’m a content creator,” how do people usually react? Do they get it? At ICUC, we do.

Here you’re a creative. You take a creative brief and an overarching content brand identity and turn it into creative social media concepts and outputs that deeply connect with real people on their real screens out in the real world.

You shoot and edit and sound design, but you also write and art direct. You build brands through social media and foster meaningful relationships with clients. You do it through always-on content and 360 campaigns. And you do it in partnership with other content creatives; producers; writers and art directors; and creative directors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualizing, pitching, shooting, editing, writing, designing, and delivering best-in-class social media content
  • Understanding and internally socializing the latest best practices for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, X, and BlueSky
  • Bringing to life brands’ overarching creative content strategies through always-on, campaign, and proactive content
  • Working collaboratively with other creatives, content and brand strategists, account teams, clients, and creative directors
  • Combining text, audio, animation, still graphics, photography, and video to create impactful, thumb-stopping content
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years’ professional experience in creating social media content for brands
  • Experience in everything related to creating content for social (idea generation, storyboarding, scripting, graphic design, sound design, illustration etc.)
  • You have a deep knowledge of the social media landscape and content trends
  • You can parse a brief/overarching content identity and turn it into content
  • Strong design skills and fluent in Adobe CS and motion graphics and animation skills
  • Experience with professional camera, lighting and Final Cut Pro, Premiere and/or Lightroom
  • Experience with shooting and retouching still photography
  • Understanding of design, composition, and typography
  • Creative thinker and visual storyteller
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Check as part of the pre-employment screening process.
  • The ability to utilize a desktop computer or laptop that meets minimum system requirements, ensuring efficiency in remote work environments.
  • Access to high-speed internet, with a minimum speed of 30 mb/s, to support work activities and online collaboration.
  • Adequate headset/mic and webcam, facilitating clear and effective communication in virtual meetings and presentations.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively. Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset, reflecting the global nature of the role.

The salary range for this position is $65k-$75k. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
