Salary Range (plus eligible to receive a performance based incentive, applicable to position) :

$81,005 - $109,595 Use your bilingual storytelling skills to enhance FCC’s presence across social and traditional media and bring the story of Canadian agriculture and food to life.

We’re looking for a bilingual Social Media Consultant to help shape the voice of Canadian agriculture online. In this 20-month opportunity, you’ll join a passionate and collaborative team that manages FCC’s ecosystem of 29 social media channels across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and X. As the primary lead for French writing support on the team, you’ll help ensure our content resonates across both official languages. Together, we grow FCC’s presence, engage key audiences, and help tell the powerful stories of the people and innovations behind Canadian agriculture and food.

What you’ll do:

  • Support FCC’s business objectives by developing and executing strategic social media and digital communications plans across portfolios and channels.

  • Manage FCC’s brand presence across social platforms, ensuring every post and interaction reflects our reputation as a trusted partner and industry leader.

  • Craft creative, channel-tailored content that connects with audiences, reflects the ag and food ecosystem, and sparks meaningful engagement.

  • Utilize collaboration tools like content calendars and project management platforms to stay organized and work seamlessly with teammates across Brand & Communications.

  • Share the stories behind Canadian agriculture and food including the people, the innovations, and the lasting impact on Canada’s economy and communities.

  • Partner with internal teams to drive employee engagement and social media literacy across the organization.

  • Engage directly with customers and industry voices on FCC’s social platforms.

  • Provide support to the media relations team as needed.

What we’re looking for:

  • A natural storyteller and clear communicator who creates compelling, audience-first digital content.

  • A strategic thinker with a creative edge and the ability to use analytics to inform decisions.

  • A reliable and rigorous self-starter that is detail-oriented, dependable and results driven.

  • A versatile writer who can authentically shift tone and perspective across sub-brands, executives, and diverse audiences.

  • Fully bilingual (French and English) with the ability to confidently write and translate content in both of Canada’s official languages.

What you’ll need:

  • A degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or journalism plus at least three years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Strong bilingual (French and English) communication skills, both written and verbal, needed.

  • Passion for the agriculture and food system in Canada.

  • Media relations expertise and experience is a strong asset.
