At the TSO, there are so many great stories to tell, and we're looking for someone who loves finding the best way to tell them. You're social-media obsessed, think video-first and know how to turn campaigns, concerts and behind-the-scenes moments into content made for each channel. You're also a builder-someone who likes creating smart workflows, testing ideas, watching what works, and continually tweaking and improving.

The role adapts campaign assets, creates and edits quick-turn content, and maintains effective workflows and reporting - helping the Communications team build a proactive, consistent social presence that grows audience engagement, supports attendance, and strengthens the TSO’s brand and reputation.

What you’ll do

  • Publishes and schedules approved content across the TSO's current and emerging social channels, completing final quality checks on copy, links, tags, rights, accessibility, and platform specifications.
  • Maintains the social editorial calendar and Asana workflow, translating briefings into tasks and workbacks, securing required assets and approvals, and communicating status and blockers proactively.
  • Adapts campaign assets into channel-specific posts and storylines, writing platform-appropriate copy and developing storyboards, shot lists, and content plans.
  • Captures and independently edits quick-turn social content, including short-form video, photography, graphics, Stories, Reels, and TikTok videos, using available in-house tools and budgets.
  • Monitors social channels and community activity, responds within established guidelines, flags sensitive issues, and identifies timely user-generated content, trends, and storytelling opportunities.
  • Supports and coordinates social deliverables with agencies, creators, influencers, and community partners for approved activations, including briefs, assets, schedules, approvals, and amplification.
  • Tracks key performance indicators and prepares regular channel reports and campaign recaps, highlighting results, lessons, and recommendations to improve future content.
  • Confirms and documents required artist, music, photo, video, partner and location permissions and usage rights before publication.
  • Collaborates across departments to source stories and builds reusable templates, asset libraries, workflow improvements, and process documentation that help the team work efficiently.
  • Owns the day-to-day publishing and execution workflow for approved social content and provides hands‑on digital content support to the Communications team. This position has no direct reports.
  • Coordinates requests across departments and with external contributors, keeping work moving through briefing, production, review, approval, publishing, and reporting.
  • Contributes creative ideas and helps build repeatable processes that improve the consistency, speed, and quality of the TSO's social media work.
  • Comfortable interviewing musicians, guest artists, audiences and partners, and appearing on camera occasionally where appropriate.
What you’ll bring
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands‑on experience creating and publishing social or digital content for an organization or brand, preferably in the arts, entertainment, or cultural sector.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating social‑first storytelling, short‑form video editing, visual composition, and copywriting.
  • Proficiency with video and image editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or equivalent, with the ability to deliver polished quick-turn assets independently.
  • Working knowledge of current practices for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including platform specifications, community management, and social accessibility.
  • Experience with content scheduling, channel management, analytics, and reporting tools, with the ability to interpret performance data and identify practical improvements.
