About The Role

This is an opportunity to support the activation of strategies related to Intact’s purpose – to help people, businesses and society prosper in good times and be resilient in bad times.

Contributing to our objective of building resilient communities, the Social Impact Coordinator will work with key internal and external stakeholders to support the execution of Intact’s Social Impact strategic partnerships and employee generosity programs in Canada.

The coordinator will also administer executive generosity initiatives and support Social Impact and Canadian Government Relations operations including data and budget management processes.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of Intact’s Canadian employee generosity programs, including administering employee matching donations and volunteer hours
  • Administer the Executive Donation Program and coordinate Intact presence at community/charitable events on behalf of the offices of the CEO(s) and other senior executives.
  • Support Social Impact advisors in activating brand and employee involvement in social impact partnerships, including coordinating volunteer opportunities
  • Act as primary liaison for inquiries/questions from employees and the general public on donations and the work of the Intact Foundation, the charitable giving arm of Intact Financial Corporation
  • Support the Intact Foundation Board of Directors, including coordinating meetings and taking minutes
  • Process invoices/donation requests for the Canadian Government Relations and Social Impact teams, including supporting budget reconciliation

What You Bring To The Table

  • 2-5 years of direct social impact work, corporate foundation/donations and/or not-for-profit program development experience.
  • Experience or education in social sciences, business or related disciplines
  • Working and/or volunteer experience with the non-profit/charitable industry, preferably in a role supporting stakeholders
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with a strong ability to manage changing priorities
  • Adept at interacting with employees at all levels within the organization with ability to persuade and influence others without direct leadership
  • Project management experience necessary
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
