Job summary

Interac is seeking a Lead for SOC Engineering to guide detection capabilities and security operations across the enterprise. The role focuses on maturing SIEM, detection engineering, and security technologies while partnering with Incident Response and Threat Intelligence teams.

You will drive continuous improvement, architecture ownership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to align with risk and threat landscapes, in a flexible hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in cybersecurity engineering or SOC.
• Experience owning or leading cybersecurity platforms.
• Clearance or eligibility for Government of Canada Secret (Level II).

Responsibilities

• Lead SOC engineering, detection capabilities and security operations.
• Manage detection platform architecture and data pipelines.
• Improve incident response and threat containment with teams.
• Develop and tune threat detection use cases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to apply lessons learned.
