Job summary

Interac Corp. seeks a Lead for SOC Engineering to drive detection capabilities and security operations across the organization.

You will report to the Leader, Threat & Vulnerability Management and own the engineering roadmap. You will lead SIEM, EDR/XDR and data pipelines, partner with Incident Response and Threat Intelligence, and advance automation and modernization to strengthen Canada's digital payments security.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in cybersecurity engineering or related field.
• Experience owning or leading cybersecurity platforms, services, or capabilities.
• Hands-on with enterprise security technologies including SIEM/EDR/monitoring.
• Strong understanding of network and cloud security and modern architectures.
• Experience leading security platform transformations in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead SOC engineering and detection capabilities across the organization.
• Oversee the design, tuning, and validation of detection use cases.
• Ensure security data pipelines and monitoring provide visibility.
• Collaborate with Incident Response and Threat Intelligence teams.
• Drive automation, optimization, and modernization of security ops.
• Translate lessons from incidents into detection improvements.
