Job summary

Jobtailor in Montreal, Canada is seeking a Security Analyst to operate a SIEM system, detect anomalous activity, and monitor threats. The role includes implementing controls, conducting vulnerability assessments, and analyzing incidents to drive remediation.

You will collaborate with the Montreal and Hong Kong offices in a follow-the-sun model to support security operations. Fluency in English and French is required, with Spanish an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in cybersecurity or related college diploma.
• 1–2 years as security analyst, especially in incident detection and response.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and attention to detail.
• Curiosity and openness to evolving threat landscape.
• Strong teaching and communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts.
• Security clearance is an asset.
• Vulnerability scanning skills.
• Experience with SIEM tools (initial preferred).
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN networking.
• General knowledge of security solutions (firewalls, proxies, IPS/IDS, WAF).
• Experience administering Unix/Linux and Windows systems.
• Proficiency in English and French; Spanish an asset.
