Exciting Job Opportunity: Snr. Director Digital Technologies - SAP Hybris

This position will be located in Dublin Ireland.

The Snr. Director of Digital Technologies will be responsible for all run/grow/transform technical activities of Henry Schein’s new global E-Commerce platform, mobile applications, and digital microservices framework. This role will lead the engineering deployment of our world-class multi-market E-Commerce platform. He/she will drive application development across a broad portfolio of applications, ensuring performance, scalability, reusability, and security of all digital platforms. The Snr. Director will contribute to long-term digital transformation strategies and oversee the implementation of technical recommendations.

The role will develop trusting and collaborative relationships throughout the business and within Information Services teams to ensure technology implementations align with business goals. This includes regular meetings with technology and business partners to ensure that technology offerings meet vertical-specific needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Provide Engineering leadership for building Digital Platforms & APIs to accelerate Henry Schein’s digital strategy.
2. Partner with business product management teams to modernize user experience, site layout & taxonomy for all digital properties developed on SAP-Commerce Cloud and iOS platforms.
3. Collaborate with senior business and technology leaders to define MVP scope for initiatives and design solutions aligned with enterprise technology strategy.
4. Architect digital consumer experiences based on enterprise technologies that define web content and eCommerce strategy.
5. Lead multiple teams of developers, testers, architects, and other technical contributors, ensuring the quality of delivered solutions.
6. Ensure the global eCommerce solution complies with non-functional and local market requirements.
7. Oversee continuous development and enhancements of the E-Commerce platform, optimizing areas like Product Pages, Catalog, Search, Cart & Checkout.
8. Partner with peer groups like PIM & Master Data on web data initiatives.
9. Support B2B initiatives by implementing necessary platform enhancements.
10. Work with business units to identify value opportunities, understand priorities, and influence roadmaps and timelines.
11. Manage budget, strategy, and investment planning activities with business units.
12. Communicate project decisions, priorities, and updates across the organization.
13. Execute projects requiring cross-functional teamwork under time constraints, managing definition, resources, issues, budget, risks, and delivery.
14. Focus on high quality throughout the process, collaborating with QA and PMO groups.
15. Coordinate with enterprise and solution architecture teams for system integrations.

Desired Qualifications:

1. At least 10 years’ experience in software development and high-performance e-Commerce systems, with 5+ years in architecture and application development on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
2. Experience with the full SAP Hybris stack, including MVC architecture, custom extensions, and modules.
3. Proficiency in technologies like Java EE, EJB, JMS, XML, Web Services, XSLT, JavaScript, .NET, HTML, scripting languages.
4. Experience leading full-cycle application development, including integrations with Manhattan Associates (MA) OMS or IBM Sterling OMS.
5. At least 3 years leading MuleSoft-based integration projects.
6. Experience with iOS frameworks and app architecture.
7. Hands-on experience with SOAP and REST web services, open API, and SOA concepts.
8. Strong understanding of design patterns.
