Job summary

LaPrairie Works Inc, a member of LaPrairie Group of Companies, seeks Snowplow Operators based in Grimshaw, AB to perform snow removal and highway maintenance across Western Canada. You will operate winter equipment, maintain vehicles, and complete required safety and log reports in a timely manner.

Ideal candidates have experience with off-road/winter driving, highway maintenance, and hold a valid Class 1 or 3 license with a clean driver’s abstract.

Qualifications

• Experience with off-road and winter driving.
• Experience in highway maintenance activities (winter maintenance, surface/roadside/bridge maintenance).
• Ability to work day/night shifts and be on-call.
• Valid Class 1 or 3 license with a good driver’s abstract.
• First Aid Training.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate spreader, plow wing, combo unit or tow plow to clear local roads.
• Operate required winter equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Review route maps and application rates.
• Submit daily/weekly reports and logs.
• Follow HSE fundamentals and ISO 9001:2015 QA processes.
• Inspect equipment before and after shifts and log findings.
• Refuel and monitor fluids to required specs and track top-ups.
• Report defects to Foreman/Superintendent.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
