Job summary

Neighbourhood Heroes is seeking a Snow-Removal Crew Member in Edmonton, Canada to help keep driveways and walkways safe this winter. This role suits hardworking individuals who enjoy physical outdoor work and want a reliable winter income with our guaranteed weekly retainer.

You’ll clear snow from residential surfaces, operate snowblowers and shovels, apply ice melt, and stay on-call for winter events. Training and equipment are provided, and you’ll join a friendly, team-focused environment with

• Able to work outdoors in winter conditions.
• Physically fit for shoveling and lifting.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clear snow from residential driveways, walkways, and sidewalks.
• Safely operate snowblowers, push shovels, and other winter equipment.
• Apply ice melt, salt, or sand effectively to prevent slipping hazards.
• Be on-call and ready to dispatch promptly in response to winter weather events.
• Maintain clean, safe work habits and ensure all equipment is handled with care.
• Provide friendly customer service when interacting with clients on your route.
• Report any hazards, issues, or unserviceable properties to administration.
• Drive company trucks responsibly (if assigned to drive).

What We Offer

• Pay-for-performance structure: $7 per house cleared (averaging $22/hour)
• Guaranteed $200 weekly retainer (you make a minimum of $200/week, snow or no snow!)

What We’re Looking For

• Highly reliable and punctual
• Physically fit, capable of continuous shovelling, lifting, and walking in snowy conditions
• Comfortable working outdoors in cold and harsh winter weather
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, depending on snowfall
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (clean abstract required if driving company vehicles)
• Good communicator with a positive, hardworking attitude
• Able to follow strict safety and quality standards
