Compensation Information: $20.10 per hour

Physical Requirement: Medium/Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 35kg; predominantly in an outdoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.

  • Ability to operate snow-blowers, ATV’s and company trucks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be comfortable and professional while working in a guest facing environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as computer literacy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Remove snow and ice throughout the resort using shovels and snowblowers.
  • Disperse salt and sand on walkways, stairs and building entrances within the village.
  • Maintain stairs, decks and walkways on hill, at our ancillary locations.
  • Ensure ice/snow hazards are reported and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with leaders and peers to maintain safe conditions for guests and staff.
  • Prioritization duties at primary high-traffic locations.
  • Monitor progress and document completed work on company tablet.
  • Maintain strong communication with leaders.
  • Using a 4-wheel drive truck; safely travel within the village to each job location.
  • Operate a 2-way radio.
  • Adhere to Sun Peaks Resort guidelines and procedures at all times.
