Job summary

Dicam Landscaping is seeking Snow Plow Operators for part-time on-call shifts in Ontario. You will safely operate plows on commercial and condo sites, coordinating with a team to clear snow after events.

The role supports our winter operations using snow gear like skid steers, tractors, loaders, and pickups. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in winter operations, hold a G license, and can communicate professionally while meeting on-call demands 24/7.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in winter operations.
• Experience operating a pick-up with a plow, skid steer, tractor, or loader preferred.
• G license and clean driver’s abstract.
• Able to communicate with customers, management, and co-workers in a polite and courteous manner.
• Punctual and responsive to internal communication.
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop or parked equipment.
• Team player with a positive attitude, reliable and dependable.
• Comfortable using mobile technology to fill out timesheets and review site maps and reports.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to mobilization calls to confirm availability for a snow event.
• Conduct a circle check of equipment to ensure plow is attached, equipment loaded, and safe before leaving.
• Plow snow on sites and push snow into designated piles.
• Spread salt when necessary.
• Load and refill salt into salter using a skid steer.
• Operate equipment safely and obey traffic laws at all times.
• Communicate with other salt truck operators and plow operators after each site.
• Fill out all reports and timesheets on a digital app accurately and timely.
• Remove all garbage from the equipment at shift end.

Job description

We are currently looking for Snow Plow Operators who are interested in joining our part-time and on call support roster! Enjoy working outdoors with a great group of coworkers, serving your community, and are interested in joining a company that helps employees grow their careers in landscaping and snow removal? Successful applicants will safely operate a snow plow and help keep our clients’ properties clear of snow after snow events. Plowing equipment typically includes skid steers, tractors, loaders, and pick up trucks. You will work on commercial and condo sites independently. Our strength is organization and we plan our routes and crews in advance and always operate with maximum efficiency.

This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience operating heavy machinery in the snow to make some extra money this winter! Our snow season goes from November 15, 2026 to April 15, 2027.

Our Expectations

• Respond promptly to mobilization calls to confirm availability for a snow event
• Conduct a circle check of equipment to ensure plow is properly attached, other necessary equipment is loaded, everything is operational, and safety features are working prior to leaving the shop or parked location
• Plow snow on sites and push snow into designated snow pile locations
• Spread salt when necessary
• Load and refill salt into salter as required, using a skid steer
• Operate equipment safely and obey all traffic laws at all times
• Communicate with other salt truck operators and plow operators after completing each site
• Fill out all reports and timesheets on digital app accurately and in a timely manner
• Remove all garbage from the equipment at the end of the shift

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in winter operations, professional experience operating a pick-up truck with a plow, skid steer, tractor, and/or loader preferred
• Physically fit and able to fulfill job requirements, as occasional hand shoveling may be required
• G license and clean driver’s abstract
• Able to communicate with customers, management, and co-workers in a polite and courteous manner
• Be punctualand responsive to internal communication
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop or parked equipment
• Team player who has a positive attitude, is reliable and dependable
• Comfortable with using mobile technology to fill out timesheets and review site maps and reports when needed
• On call 24/7 availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Willingness to work for long hours in various weather conditions
• Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations at the shop and on jobsites
