Whistler Olympic Park is a world‑class destination for outdoor recreation activities & Nordic sports, located just south of Whistler in the stunning Callaghan Valley. Snow Clearing Operator maintains all roads and parking lot facilities throughout Whistler Olympic Park using heavy equipment and plow trucks.

Seasonal Full Time role requires the flexibility to work weekends.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Work with and under Manager and other Snow Clearing Operators to ensure all roads and parking lot facilities are cleaned and ready for use
• Operate all machinery including heavy equipment and plow trucks in a safe and responsible manner
• Assist with the maintenance and repairs of equipment as required
• Maintain machinery records
• Perform daily machine checks
• Interact with volunteers to ensure their inclusion in department team
• Carry out Whistler Sport Legacies’ AIM philosophy: All Interactions Matter
• Assist the team with other duties as assigned or required

Position Requirements & Education/Experience

• 1-3 years’ experience operating heavy snow clearing machinery
• BC Drivers License with air brake endorsement
• Knowledge of radio protocol
• Reliable winter transportation (WOP is not serviced by transit)

Skills

• Keen and can‑do attitude
• Mechanical aptitude required
• Willingness to assist other team members (perhaps outside the department) as needed and requested
• Exceptional customer service is essential

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather winter conditions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time performing physically demanding tasks
• Ability to regularly lift 50lbs

$26.50 - $29.00 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications
