Job summary

ISG Search Inc in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking an SMT Programmer/Technician to program, setup, troubleshoot, and optimize SMT production equipment for PCB assemblies.

You will create, maintain, and update machine programs for SMT lines, support SPI/AOI, solder paste printers and reflow ovens, and work with Engineering and Quality teams to improve yields and process reliability.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years SMT machine programming experience.
• Hands-on experience with SMT equipment and production troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CAD/Gerber data, BOMs, component specs, and machine programming.
• Strong understanding of electronic assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update SMT machine programs for PCB assemblies.
• Support SMT equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and changeovers.
• Program and support SPI, AOI, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens.
• Perform first article verification and support new product introduction.
• Optimize equipment performance, OEE, utilization, and reflow profiles.
• Perform basic equipment and feeder maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Analyze defect and yield data and support root cause/corrective actions.
• Work with Engineering and Quality teams to improve SMT processes and yields.
• Support DFM reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and provide technical support to production operators.

Work Environment

• Primarily on-site, Monday-Friday daytime schedule.
• GTA-based manufacturing environment.
