Shift: 3:30 PM to Midnight

We have a great opportunity for a SMT Machine Operator – 3:30 PM to Midnight shift at our manufacturing facility in Ottawa, ON.

Location: Ottawa, ON

Your Responsibilities:

1. Perform SMT Offline / Online setup activities, including feeder loading, stripping, scanning, and troubleshooting following procedures.
2. Perform SMT quality control and support the line.
3. Support tray counting and offline setup when the line is down.
4. Operate SMT equipment efficiently, following work schedules and safety guidelines.
5. Perform preventative maintenance tasks as defined by procedures.
6. Support material handling, inventory control, and yield improvement projects.
7. Identify nonconforming products and take appropriate action.
8. Complete logs, reports, and data as required.
9. Handle materials, including lifting supplies as needed.
10. Support spill response and health & safety committees.
11. Willing to support 3-shift rotations as required.

Qualifications:

1. 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with pick and place equipment.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical Degree preferred.
3. Experience with low volume, high-mix PWB assembly, SMT equipment, and minimizing downtime.
4. Ability to multitask and respond quickly to schedule changes.
5. Knowledge of SAP and computers.
6. Experience with formal procedures and documentation.
7. Excellent communication and team skills.
8. Good organizational skills.
9. Ability to lift supplies and move heavy loads with lifting equipment.
