Job description

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will drive SMB sales (Small and Medium Business) through our shareholder banks across the assigned regional markets to meet pre-set yearly targets. These targets include net new merchant acquisition, cross-selling to existing merchants, and overall revenue goals. This is a merchant-facing role requiring the Sales Consultant to spend multiple days weekly at designated BMO/RBC bank locations to build relationships with bankers, educate them on Moneris solutions, and prospect and sign up new clients. The Regional Sales Consultant will develop knowledge of Moneris solutions, understand customer needs, and match them to appropriate payment solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance opportunities through the sales funnel to successful closures.

Location: Based in our Toronto office with a Hybrid work model.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Manager, SMB Regional Sales.

What you'll do
  • Manage client relationships from pre-sales to post-sales setup and integration.
  • Develop business relationships with assigned accounts, creating proposals and presentations to address prospect and client needs.
  • Achieve and maximize revenue targets related to card manufacturing.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and conditions to meet corporate objectives.
  • Provide feedback to Marketing and Product Development on key products and initiatives to fill gaps in offerings and client segments.
  • Drive customer acquisition, accelerate market entry, facilitate easy integration, and enhance service levels. Prepare forecasts and sales reports.
  • Educate the sales team and clients on compliance, operating procedures, and industry trends.
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of strategic sales, account management, or business development experience with proven success in customer conversion and retention in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications.
Nice-to-have
  • Experience in the payment industry is an asset.
